Jeffrey Hedquist, President and Creative Director of Hedquist Productions, Inc. in Fairfield, IA, is the off-camera narrator on Iowa Public Television’s half-hour documentary called Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan premiering Thursday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Iowa Public Television’s press release states:

“As part of the network’s commitment to telling Iowa’s stories, statewide Iowa Public Television (IPTV) will present Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan on Thursday, November 10, at 7:30 p.m."

“This new program offers a vivid account of serving halfway around the world in the war on terror. To tell this story, Iowa Public Television conducted interviews with service members and compiled video from The Des Moines Register, the Department of Defense, and the soldiers themselves."

Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan features personal reflections on the emotional toll soldiers faced on the battlefront and continue to face after returning home, as well as the impact on those closest to them."

“More than 90,000 troops are currently serving in Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom, with nearly half of those soldiers from the National Guard or Reserve. Iowa has answered the call numerous times over the past decade, including the largest single deployment of its National Guard forces since World War II."

“Iowa Soldiers Remember Afghanistan will also be re-shown on IPTV on Veterans Day, November 11 at 10:30 p.m. Viewers can also see the program on IPTV WORLD on November 11 at 5:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.”
